Highly relevant image results show up at the top of Google’s search results page when one searches for specific topics. Getting listed in this prime position can possibly send a great deal of traffic to your website.
An interface to Google Images that provides preferences for image searching: size, file type, coloration, and Google Safe Searching. It also provides preferences for layout and control over the fullsize image display.
Use is simple. Type in a search, and get thumbnails back. Scroll through the thumbnails. Thumbnail tooltips provide image location and size. Click on a thumbnail to bring up a full size display of the image (subject to maximum preferences). If you click on a full size image.
Weblog Google Operating System points out a new search option in Google Image Search that filters images by color. Color search isn't available as an operator yet, but a simple URL hack will do the trick.
When searching for an image, a thumbnail of each matching image is displayed. Then when clicking on a thumbnail, the image is displayed in a frame at the top of the page and the website on which that image was found is displayed in a frame below it, making it easier to see from where the image is coming.
Google Image Search has a new option that lets you restrict the results based on their color. For now, the option is not available in the user interface, but you can tweak the search results URL to try it.
